With a selection that spans from rap to reggaeton, grime to garage and club to UK funky, London DJ Amy Becker has stormed her way to the top of the circuit following huge demand for DJ sets all over the world. Her unique ability to mix genres gained her a residency on BBC 1Xtra in 2012, and since then she has impressed crowds on Boiler Room and held down a regular show on Radar Radio. Amy’s achievements extend outside of DJing, with a compilation, print zine, and the curation of a self-released 4 track ‘RMX’ EP on vinyl in 2016 featuring Sir Spyro, YGG, Scratcha DVA and Kamixlo. Her own imprint Acrylic has also propelled her to the forefront of the UK club scene, with countless sell out nights in east and north London boasting diverse lineups that reflect her eclectic taste and passion for championing the underground.
As an artist, DJ, and conceptual party-maker, Total Freedom (aka Ashland Mines) has been integral to some of the most exciting things to come out of LA’s underground art and music scene over the past few years. Hailed for a seamless ability to unite a huge spectrum of contrasting sounds, his repertoire spans minimalized R&B refixes and Middle Eastern pop samples, to obscure narrative soundbites and elements of trap, UK grime, and Kuduro. His now-infamous LA party “Wildness” is cited as an inspiration for Venus X’s GHE20G0THIK phenomenon, and the subject of a new award-winning documentary by co-founder Wu Tsang. He’s also one of the forces behind the “record label and movement” Fade to Mind, the American sister imprint of the UK label Night Slugs, home to artists Nguzunguzu, Fatima Al Qadiri, and Kingdom. – NOISEY
Shake! resident Dev/Null got started by listening to Crazy Jungle / DNB in the mid to late 90’s, which then lead him to music production. Dev/Null now focuses much of his time on his website BLOG TO THE OLDSKOOL, 7 years running, that is dedicated to oldskool UK hardcore/jungle, as well as DJ-ing biweekly sets on online stations Jungletrain.net and Radio Frontline. Additionally, he started a label 8205 RECORDINGS dedicated to releasing unreleased 91-95 UK Jungle on vinyl, and was recently listed as one of Fact Magazine’s “100 Underrated DJs Who Deserves More Shine”.
