SHAKE: MIX 013 – Shy Eyez
I finally invested in my own decks this past weekend, so I figured I’d break ’em in by recording this promo mix! It’s a bit spur-of-the-moment—at least in terms of track selection… I’ve realized I usually mix better/more naturally when I’m not planning out my sets track for track. It’s just some older and newer stuff that I’ve been rinsing out over the last couple months. The feel of the mix I’d say is pretty raw, because my ancient mixer doesn’t have a single effect! I think there are infinite (and amazing) possibilities in how to manipulate tracks and mixes using more complex mixers or even Ableton, but this is probably a more realistic representation of what you’d hear me play like in a club… Hope you enjoy! – Shy Eyez
